Barnaby 2011

We weren't so lucky with the weather this year, but despite the rain there was plenty of interest in the Food4Macc stall.

Lots of people entered the mystery vegetable competion, or took away a and pea seeds to grown on their window sills.

Overall we probably introduced ourselve to about 100 interested visitors.

Next door was the first public appearance of Macc2020 Macclesfield sustainability umbrella group. Eliot Warrington and Lesley Mattin had assembled the stall at very short notice.

A Polytunnel for All Hallows Catholic College

The frame for a 10 metre x 6 metre polytunnel was erected last week.

The polythene covering is due to be delivered any day.

We may need lots of pairs of hands to help tighten and secure the covering.

Preliminary work at Belong, Kennedy Avenue

Work has begun on a new project site; the Belong Care Home off Kennedy avenue.
With the help of Macclesfield Community Garden Centre we have started to clear an area ready for the construction of a raised bed, and compost bins are well advanced.
